My name is Arvin Alaigh—I’m a writer and a PhD student at the University of Cambridge. I was named one of Dissent‘s 2022 Emerging Writers, and my work has been featured in outlets such as The Nation, The Baffler, and The Drift . I have a wide range of interests, including politics, culture, faith, and sports.

My first book project—currently under contract with Liveright/W.W. Norton (and Oneworld Publications in the UK)—will tell the story of the Catholic Resistance in the broader context of Cold War politics, the antiwar movement, and the Harrisburg Seven trial.
